The Facilities

Xristos Research Centre has seven quite large studios built for recreation and work. Every studio has a small kitchen. The standard is two beds. In addition there is an air-conditioned library/ study room. In the centre of the of the garden of Xristos there is 16th century chapel, surrounded by trees giving shadow in the sometime quite warm weather in Greece.

Children

Unfortunatly, the place is not suitable for children as Xristos Research Centre is ment to be a place for research and study

Internet

Xristos Research Centre is connected to internet. There is a PC available, but we recommend that you bring your own lap-top.

Sheets and Towels

You can rent sheets for the bed as well as pillow-covers at Xristos. The price is 45 NOK per person (regardless of lenght of stay). At Xristos there are pillows and blankets ('dyner'). You have to bring your own towel.

Food

At Xristos there are waters and soft drinks available for the guests. Unfortunately, when you arrive at Xristos, there is no food available, you have to provide for this yourself. It is possible to order take away pizzas and food from one of the local restaurants, and have them deliver it at Xristos. You may also eat at nearby Metochi. You need to let them know you are eating there one day in advance. When the people staying at Metochi are on field trips, there will not be served any meals there.

Each room has a small kitchenette with a fridge and cooking possibilities.

Transport

At Xristos you can borrow bicycles for free. Xristos is located about 5 km from the beach. It takes about 25-30 minutes to reach the beach on a bicycle.
